WoofCraft is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing trained Service Dogs to disabled individuals nationwide.  Our Service Dogs are trained in medical alert, mobility assistance, and psychiatric assistance.  We also work with schools and youth groups to provide Therapy Dogs to children with different needs.  If you are seeking a Therapy Dog for your program, or would like to become a Therapy Dog handler, reach out!  We are looking to grow our team.   Finally, we provide safe, trained, and temperament-tested narcotics Detection Dogs to schools in Northwest Ohio.

Lex Blanton

I grew in the dog industry, apprenticing under various professional trainers until the age of 18 where I became a professional trainer myself. I have been training Service Dogs since 2014, and became a Therapy Dog Tester in 2021.  I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge & Skills Assessed through CCPDT, an IAABC supporting member, a Fear Free certified animal trainer and groomer, a certified AKC Family Dog Evaluator, UKC SPOT Judge, and a CATCH Academy Official Mentor Trainer.

Training Philosophy

Our science-backed training approach focuses on building a lasting relationship between dog and handler.  Utilizing Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) techniques, we shape wanted behaviors while discouraging unwanted ones without sacrificing work drive.  The result is a dog who puts their whole heart and soul into every task they complete.
